Jackpot finally over!

I won the jackpot! The site posted that announcement picture/pop up on the site, whoo hoo!

Well today I just happened to check my e-mail and received an email from the website that I play on telling me that I won the jackpot. FINALLY! It's weird but I didn't feel exactly pumped/hyped about the money (although obviously happy), I felt more of a relief that everything ended as I had hoped and that now I can move onto other plans. It was cool, I got alot of friends msging me on instant messenger congratulating me on winning the jackpot. The website has a pop up news type thing that everyone sees when logging into the poker room online (the one at the beginning of this post) saying I won, so a bunch of people I know saw it and msg'd me.

Another cool part was the email they sent me talked about them interviewing me and creating a player profile about me to put on the website that would include the interview and pictures of me if I felt comfortable submitting them. They said they are going to put me on the webpage into the hall of fame. I think this will be a good time to try to get a sponsorship deal from them. Most online poker sites offer sponsorship deals (endorsements) to players on their site where they basically pay that players way into poker tournaments, their traveling fees, hotel costs, etc. in exchange for that player wearing that websites gear. It's the same way athletes get endorsements just to wear some company's stuff, these poker sites do the same for players.

This would be great because I would be able to play poker on someone elses money without having to put any of my own at risk. Might not get the deal but it's worth a shot.

For now, my plans in poker are going to be to finish working on improving my game and moving back up in stakes. This will include reading alot, talking strategy alot with friends games whom I respect, getting coaching, playing alot and thinking/studying about the game, and putting in alot of hours. My next goal will probably be to have a +$50k month within the next 5 months.
